Living in Hood River, Darryl Lloyd at 76 continues to hike vigorously with twin brother Darvel. They grew up on the Flying L Ranch Mount Adams' base. At a very young age they developed a passion for mountains and the geo sciences (earning master's degrees). By the age of 20, Darryl had been around the world twice by sea, and through the decades worked as a wilderness mountaineering guide, ship's captain, innkeeper and prolific writer/photographer.
